Question: I am about as tall as the height of my doorway. How far down is the bar from the top of the frame, and will there be enough clearance for a range of motion, like in the down position of a pull up?
Answer: The pull up bar will hang down 2-4 inches depending on your molding. It sounds like you are at least 6'4", maybe taller, so a doorway pull up bar is going to be a little cramped. We would recommend a wall or ceiling mounted unit but if doorway pull ups is your only option then you can make it work. Doorway pull ups are still better than no pull ups.

Question: does it damage the door or frame? Just remodeled the house and was curious if it made marks. Thank you!!
Answer: The pull up bar can over time leave very small marks above the door trim. The marks are usually not that noticeable and can be washed off easily.
